Hope your finals week has started off well!
Just thought I would post some information on a job and volunteering opportunity with the Udall Foundation’s Parks in Focus program. This is a program that connects underserved youth to nature through photography, outdoor recreation and environmental education.
The Udall Foundation is planning to hire a part-time trip leader (based in/near OKC) and is also recruiting volunteers to help run Parks in Focus activities for middle school youth around OKC this spring.
The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Friday, January 3, but they accept volunteers on a rolling basis.
For more information visit their website at http://pif.udall.gov/

Posted on December 3rd, 2013 No commentsHi everyone!
I thought I would post this information about a Clean Air Cities Campaign for Norman.
OUr Earth was contacted by Hillary Aidun who works on the Center for Biological Diversity's Clean Air Cities Campaign.
Chapel Hill, Salt Lake City, Charlottesville and Miami have joined the Clean Air Cities Resolution campaign by passing resolutions supporting full implementation of the Clean Air Act to reduce greenhouse gas pollution.
Hillary has already found a city council member to contact and has prepared a draft letter for us to sign and send to this council member. Becoming involved this campaign will take very little of your time and only requires a signature.
After 12 pm today there will be a print out of this email for the council member outside of the OUr Earth office located on the second floor of the Conoco Student Leadership Center in the Union (you can access this wing of the union behind Crossroads Restaurant).
