OUr Earth is a student organization at the University of Oklahoma. Our purpose is to educate the OU community on environmental issues of all types affecting the campus, state, nation, and world and to encourage the active participation of members in activities relating to such issues.

Norman Fair Trade : Monday, November 16, 2009 Norman Fair Trade and the Department of Geography are bringing Manish Gupta founder of Handmade Expression to the Sam Noble Museum to talk about his business and what Fair Trade has meant in his business. Every student, faculty, and staff that signs up, OU will give $2 towards the recycling program to buy more recycle bins in the Spring 2010 semester. * Nov. 6th: Pro-Choice Rally at the OK State Capitol!12:00pm-3:00pm @ Oklahoma State Capitol – South PlazaCollege students from across the state are taking a stand on Oklahoma’s newest abortion law, enacting the Statistical Abortion Reporting Act. In a response to this legislation, we are organizing a pro-choice rally at the OK State capitol to PROTEST House Bill 1595.The legislation, H.B 1595, is a new provision on Oklahoma abortion laws that now requires an official record and reporting system of all abortions occurring within the state. Women’s personal and private information will be posted on a public website. This law blatantly violates women’s reproductive rights and privacy.Check the link for more about the event.

Attendance is free but donations will gladly be accepted, and we’ll be having a silent auction bake sale! Anyone can come as it is open to the community, this is not your typical Tea Party.- Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the party starts at 6 p.m.!- We will listen to students and speakers as conservatives come together to enjoy a cup of tea, the way our Founding Fathers intended it.- Tea attire is recommended.
